Right now I have a pile on my counter of products ready to be returned because I fell for the savvy and deceiving marketing plans. Once the products arrived, I found out what was advertised did not live up to the promises made by the vendor.
Seeing the pile this morning weighed heavy on me. I’m not going to lie, it’s been a hard few days in my world. So this morning I asked God to speak to me and remind me what I have forgotten in my world of pain and sorrow. To open my eyes to what I cannot see.
I opened my YouVersion app and started reading a devotional I downloaded weeks ago. Of course, it just jumped off the page smack in front of my eyes.
I was a quote by one of my favs, D.L. Moody who reminded me, “God never made a promise that was too good to be true.”
He does not have some savvy marketing scheme that advertises more than He gives you. His promises are never too good to be true.
If you got a bad report from your doctor, remember God promises to be your healer. If you are living paycheck to paycheck, remember God promises to be your provider. If you are sick over a mistake you made, remember God promises to never remember our sins.If you are facing a battle in your life, remember God promises us the victory.
NO promise is too good to be true. God wants us to live in victory. He wants us to believe in His promises and walk in faith. So today, when your negative mindset sets in, remember what we so often forget—God never made a promise that was too good to be true.
